Squid
This morning we went to the fish market. Inside there were a few different fishes. It was mostly squid🦑, crabs 🦀, and a few other marine creatures.
We got in from the back, and passing the many large crabs 🦀, saw a sign that said something about squids. Turns out it means squid fishing. When we got in, we saw a large area in the middle of everything with an oval shaped tank. In the tank were squid. We watched someone catch one, and what you do is:
Choose a squid.
Use your fishing rod to hook it.
Pull it out and put it in a bucket the person there holds for you. ( warning ⚠️, it might spurt water!)
Watch the person sashimi it alive ( I don't like this part at all).
Eat it.
here is a few videos
We decided to not do it, because
We don't like the idea of killing the adorable squid🦑 at all
We don't like eating raw Japanese flying squid.
There was a super long line stretching around the fishing area.
Souffle Pancakes
The following day…
We went to Gram, a souffle pancake 🥞 place that is only open for lunch. Since the first place we went to was closed, we drove here for lunch.

When we entered the place, the first thing we saw was.…. A GIANT SOUFFLE PANCAKE PLUSHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were 3 pancakes, each at least a meter in diameter, 3½ in circumference, and about 25 cm tall! Not to mention the plushy butter, at least ½ of a meter in circumference, about 10 inches in diameter, and 5 inches tall. We took lots of pictures, hugging it, squeezing it, squashing it, and even trying to sleep on it! (Kind of.) We also ordered a souffle pancake stack like it, and Mama bear carried the stack over so we could take a picture with the plushy and the real souffle pancake. Here are a lot of pictures:
