ACCESSIBILITY: Great
In Singapore, we visited both the Zoo and the Night Safari. The two are located next to each other along with River Safari as well. These attractions are operated by one company, so you can buy a combination ticket. Unfortunately, I have hurt my ankle while I was walking around in Singapore, so I was looking for attractions that I can enjoy in such a state. Luckily the zoo has wheelchairs available to borrow. The wheelchair accessibility was surprisingly good at the zoo come out with only a few locations where the slope is rather steep. While the facilities are good for wheelchair access, the guests are less accommodating. I think it has to do with the attitude in Asia about wheelchairs, which is drastically different from that in the US. People are more likely to cut in front of a wheelchair than to make way for it. So be aware if you’re traveling in a wheelchair.
